What is Making Work Accessible?
Hi there! I’m Britne Jenke, and I’m the voice behind this newsletter.
My goal here is to share resources on Making Work Accessible and to answer the question, “How do we build accessibility into our workplaces from the start?”
I’ve been writing for a while now, on my blog and a LinkedIn newsletter. (I wrote a book too! And might be writing a few more…)
The old newsletter was a biweekly roundup of articles from the blog, along with announcements and other resources. It will probably still exist in some form, until my 1000+ subscribing friends come over to Substack with me!
I’ve moved all the good blog articles over here to build an archive. But since I’ve found my new home, I’m committing to providing resources a little more regularly. Here’s what you can expect, starting in July 2025!
Post Schedule
Monthly
Upcoming Awareness Events: Celebrations on our radar for this month. Cross-posted to other social media.
Weekly
Tough Topic Thursdays: A deeper dive into trickier questions about accessibility at work. Cross-posted in full only on the Inclusive Pixelation website, with a short excerpt on LinkedIn. (This is the good stuff!)
Weekend Week in Review: Things I’m reading and news you may have missed elsewhere. Cross-posted to LinkedIn.
Ad-Hoc
Everything else? I love sharing videos of my public talks and webinars, those will be here too. And random essays like my
rantsinsightful takes on DEI and SHRM.
A Note on Subscriptions
All the articles are free. Yes, really!
If you’d like to support my monthly coffee habit writing, you can do so for just $5 a month. I know it’s a big ask when everything else wants a subscription these days, but if my writing is helping you make a difference in your workplace or organization, I’d love it if you could consider subscribing.
There are special subscriber perks like the chat room and full archive access. And random gifts from me too, just to say thanks! (A11yShop coupons, anyone?) But if you’re just here for the writing, that will always be available.
I want to get information about Making Work Accessible into the hands of as many people at as many organizations as possible. Will you help?
